Aims of the declaration:
1. Protection of the conservationally significant habitats of 149 species of birds, 8 species of amphibians, 21 reptiles, other protected, rare and vulnerable plant and animal species, their communities and characteristic landscapes;

Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited construction of indistrial sites, buildings, roads, canals, technical installations for energie production, with exception of costruction of buildings, in realation with the guarding the state border of the Republic of Bulgaria;
2. It is prohibited searching and prospecting of minerals, disclosure of quarries, mines and other activities, which lead to injure the natural landscape and the natural status of the water site and its shores;
3. It is prohibited to create cultures of noncharacteristic for the area plant species, with the exception of naturalized species;
