Aims of the declaration:
1. Protection and maintenance of natural habitats types under item 2.1, habitats referred to item 2.2. species, their populations and distribution within the area to achieve and maintain their favorable conservation status in Continental biogeographical region;
2. Improving the structure and functions of natural habitats with codes 5130, 6210 (* important orchid habitats), 62А0 и 9170;
3. Improvement of habitats of species Testudo hermanni and Myotis blythii;
4. If necessary, improvement of the condition or restoration of types of natural habitats refered in item 2.1, habitats of the species refered in item 2.2 and their populations.
Objects of protection (species or habitats):
1. Article 6, paragraph 1, section 1 from Biological Diversity Act: 4090 Endemic oro-Mediterranean heaths with gorse;
5130 Juniperus communis formations on heaths or calcareous grasslands;
6210 Semi-natural dry grasslands and scrubland facies on calcareous substrates (Festuco-Brometalia) (* important orchid habitats);
62A0 Eastern sub-Mediterranean dry grasslands (Scorzoneratalia villosae);
9170 Galio-Carpinetum oak-hornbeam forests;
91H0* Pannonian woods with Quercus pubescens;
2. Article 6, paragraph 1, section 2 from Biological Diversity Act: 2.2.1. Mammals – *Canis lupus, Rhinolophus hipposideros, Rhinolophus ferrumequinum, Myotis blythii;
2.2.2. Amphibians and Reptiles – Triturus karelinii, Bombina variegata, Testudo hermanni;
2.2.3. Invertebrates – Lucanus cervus, Morimus funereus, *Rosalia alpina;
2.2.4. Plants – Himantoglossum caprinum.
Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited to conduct auto racing outside the existing roads;
2. The movement of motorcycles, ATV, UTV and buggies is prohibited outside of the existing roads in non-urban areas except when there is a natural disaster, for emergency, for conducting fire control, accidents and rescue operations;
3. It is prohibited to clean and destroy bushes of Juniperus communis , except in cases where the cleaning is carried out in order to improve the condition of the target species under item 2.2.4 - Himantoglossum caprinum ;
4. It is prohibited to alter the way of sustainable use, to plow, to plant and to turn in permanent crops of pastures, grasslands, wetlands and plowing, and other grasslands in the use of the agricultural lands as such;
5. It is prohibited to plow and afforest meadows and other unforested forest territories within the boundaries of non-forest natural habitats under item 2.1;
6. It is prohibited to change the purpose, afforest, plow and turn into permanent plantations of land with identifier 22410.19.504 (old № 000504) according to the current as of January 2020 cadastral map of the land of Dolni Koriten, EKATTE 22410, Treklyano municipality, Kyustendil region;
7. The use of mineral fertilizers in the pastures, meadows, abandoned ploughlands and forests and also in the property 22410.19.504 is prohibited. Also it is prohibited to use professional category products for plant protection, except for calamities, epiphytotics, epizootics and epidemics;
8. It is prohibited the use of pesticides, mineral, foliar and micro fertilizers as well as biologicaly active substances, which did not received biological and toxicological registration from the commissions and councils led by Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Environment and Water;
9. It is prohibited to remove landscape features (hedges, single trees and groups, traditional strips of shrub and tree vegetation inside of agricultural land, shelterbelt, rock fences and hedges) in the use of agricultural land;
10. It is prohibited to use organic sediments from industrial and other waters and domestic waste for introduction into the agricultural land without the permission of specialized agencies of Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and when the concentration of heavy metals, metalloids and stable organic pollutants in the sediments exceeds the background concentration according to appendix 1, Decree-Law No. 3/2008, for the norms of admissible concentrations of harmful substances in the soil. (State Gazette 71/2008);
11. It is prohibited to use waters, which have harmful substances and waste above the admissible norms, for irrigation;
12. It is prohibited to burn stubbles, boundary and road strips and areas with dry and humid vegetation;
13. It is prohibited to graze in the forest territories, which are differentiated as old-growth forests.
14. It is prohibited grazing of domestic animals, as well as felling and extraction of biomass on terrains with a slope equal to or greater than 45 °, in the types of forest natural habitats under item 2.1, except for the cases of wood utilization during construction and maintenance of objects, for which the right to build, use and easements under the Forest Act and the Energy Act has been established.
