Aims of the declaration:
1. Conservation, maintenance and restoration of the territory as a breeding habitat for rare and legally protected species of amphibians - Pelobates syriacus balcanicus, Triturus karelinii, Triturus ivanbureschi; reptiles - Emys orbicularis, Elaphe sauromates; food base for waterfowl species - Plegadis falcinelus, Egretta garzetta, Ardea cinerea, Nycticorax nycticorax, and a habitat for the protection of biological diversity in the ecosystem of wetlands of the Maritsa River and adjacent territories, as well as the course of natural processes in wetlands.
Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited new construction;
2. It is prohibited exploration and extraction of aggregates and underground resources;
3. It is prohibited setting fire and burning grass systems;
4. It is prohibited changing the purpose and manner of permanent use of the land;
5. It is prohibited plowing, use of pesticides and herbicides;
6. lIt is prohibited lease of areas for use without the consent of the RIEW;
7. It is prohibited disposal of any waste on the territory;
8. It is prohibited hunting and hunting activities;
9. It is prohibited construction of photovoltaics;
10. It is prohibited movement of motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs and buggies off existing roads in non-urbanized areas;
11. It is prohibited removal of landscape features (borders, living single and groups of trees, traditional strips occupied by shrub-tree vegetation and hedges) when using agricultural land as such, except in cases of removal of invasive alien species of trees and shrubs;
12. It is prohibited drainage of the territory.
