Aims of the declaration:
1. Preservation of a complex of riparian forests of white poplar and field elm - natural habitat 92A0 Riparian galleries of Salix alba and Populus alba;
2. Preservation of habitats of plant species of Annex No. 3 of the Biodiversity Act such as: Fritillaria pontica), Saponaria stranjensis and others;
3. Conservation of habitats of amphibian species including from Annex No. 3 of the Biodiversity Act such as: Rana graeca, Bufo bufo, Rana dalmatina, Podarcis taurica etc.;
4. Protection of nesting habitats of rare and protected bird species under the Biodiversity Act such as: Anas platyrhynchos, Tachybaptus ruficollis, Haematopus ostralegus, Larus michahellis, Ciconia nigra, Ciconia ciconia, Phalacrocorax carbo, Ardea cinerea, Ardea alba;
5. Conservation of nesting habitats of rare and protected bird species under the Biodiversity Act such as: Accipiter brevipes, Accipiter nisus, Accipiter gentilis, Buteo buteo, Milvus migrans, Circaetus gallicus, (Coracias garrulus), Alcedo atthis, Merops apiaster, Lanius collurio, Garrulus glandarius, Pica pica, Parus major, Troglodytes troglodytes, Fringilla coelebs and others;
6. Preservation of a linear type of landscape characteristic of riparian forests found in the plains and lowlands with a transitional-continental climate in southern Bulgaria and natural open spaces, as well as with the aim of creating conditions for
recreation and educational tourism for the local population and guests of the region and providing an opportunity for scientific research and ecological monitoring on the dynamics and condition of the riparian forests.
Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited construction excluding sites of national importance as well as support, repair and reconstruction of existing ones sites and facilities;
2. It is prohibited placement of movable objects;
3. It is prohibited change of purpose and manner of permanent use of the properties with an exception of the activities under 3.1;
4. It is prohibited logging except for department 623, subsection "l" and "10" of forestry topographical plan of State forestry "Madjarovo" from 2016, as well as the necessary technical cuts to provide access to them;
5. It is prohibited river bed cleaning except in the cases of fallen trees or parts of them, as well as in cases of disasters and accidents;
6. It is prohibited search, exploration and extraction of underground our wealth and mining of aggregates;
7. It is prohibited removal of dead wood, sowing and replacement of the existing plant
validity with the exception of the prohibition in item 3.5, as well as when replacing non-native species of the existing vegetation, incl. acacia;
8. It is prohibited construction of facilities leading to lowering of the river level and/or until change in the hydrological state of the land part of the territory except in cases of disasters
and accidents;
9. It is prohibited waste disposal;
10. It is prohibited movement and stay of motor vehicles outside the existing roads in non-urbanized territories, with the exception of movement in the event of disasters, emergency situations and for conducting fire-fighting, emergency, control, security and rescue activities and maintenance activities of existing infrastructure;
11. It is prohibited camping and bonfires.
