Aims of the declaration:
1. Preservation of leafy moss - Leucobryum glaucum, of high nature protection importance and its habitat, as well as another species of moss of conservation importance - Aulacomnium androgynum, included in the Red Book of the Republic of Bulgaria with the "endangered" category.
Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited construction, except maintenance and repair of existing objects and facilities;
2. It is prohibited placement of movable objects;
3. It is prohibited changing the purpose and manner of permanent use of the territory;
4. It is prohibited afforestation;
5. It is prohibited storage of timber;
6. It is prohibited removal of fellings in subsection 520-o and removal of fellings that lead to a decrease in the density of the forest below 0.8% in subsections 520-i, 520-th, 521-g according to the 2019 Forestry Plan of TP DGS "Sofia" d., with the exception of cases of extinguishing/limitation of fires, of forced and sanitary felling in cases of damage over 50% of the plantation stock, when carrying out technical fellings to maintain the existing infrastructure, as well as to remove single trees that pose a danger to visitors;
7. It is prohbited plowing and processing of the soil surface, earth-excavation activities, archaeological excavations, as well as other activities that lead to changes in the natural characteristics of the terrain and destruction of individuals of the species - subject to conservation, with the exception of those aimed at improving the biological status of the species and improvement of the conservation status of their habitat;
8. It is prohibited use of machinery when transporting harvested wood;
9. It is prohibited bivouacing, setting fires and burning vegetation;
10. It is prohibited prospecting, exploration and extraction of underground resources;
11. It is prohibited waste pollution;
12. It is prohibited pasture;
13. It is prohibited movement and stay of motor vehicles, including all-terrain vehicles, ATVs and motorcycles, with the exception of movement during disasters, emergency situations and for conducting fire-fighting, emergency, control, security and rescue activities, maintenance activities of existing infrastructure facilities, as well as for the purpose of ensuring the access of persons with special needs and servicing the needs of the monastery;
14. It is prohibited introduction of non-native plant and animal species.
