Aims of the declaration:
1. Protection of natural forest communities of Quercus, durmast, Oriental beech with subforest of Strandzha verdure Strandzha blueberry and habitats of rare and endangered plant and animal species.

Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited construction, and any other activities that modify the natural appearance of the site or its water system
2. It is prohibited importation of uncharacteristic for the region plant and animal species
3. It is prohibited felling except cultivating and sanitary
4. It is prohibited to pick wild plants
5. It is prohibited use of chemical plant protection in the agricultural land fund
6. It is rohibited grazing of goats and pigs/swine
7. It is prohibited harassment of birds during the breeding season, breaking the nests, collecting of the eggs and their young
8. It is prohibited hunting;
9. It is prohibited fish stocking with meat fish species
10. It is permitted sport fishing on the shore of the lake with fishing rod in the period June 30 to March 1
11. It is permited mowing or firing of the cane after CO-ORDINATION with the Ministry of Environment and BAC
12. It is permited grazing and watering of sheeps and cattle
