Aims of the declaration:
1. typical formations, rich flora and waterfall on the underground river

Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited to collect stones and build quarries in the areas of protected natural sites.
2. It is prohibited to enter the cave exept for scientific research, for rescue missions, for maintenance of the existing infrastructure. It is also prohibited to break the cave formations (stalactites and stalagmites), as well as to litter them. The ways and the period to access the cave must be in concordance with the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water (RIEW) – Sofia and the Vranchanski Balkan Nature Park Directorate.
3. It is prohibited to collect or destroy the cave fauna.
4. It is prohibited to write or scribble on the walls, enter with torches or other smoking illuminants, as well as all other actions, which destroy the beauty of or damage the caves.
5. It is prohibited to use the caves for agricultural purposes (mushrooms houses, wine cellars, dairy farms, etc.), when they are not of scientific (geological or archeological, paleontological) and aesthetic significance.
6. It is prohibited to build and to construct, with the exception of activities related to reparation and reconstruction of the existing cave infrastructure – catchment and water-main for drinking water of Gara Lakatnik village, and also bulding metal grates ensuring restricted human entrance. The ways and the period to access the cave must be in concordance with the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water (RIEW) – Sofia and the Vranchanski Balkan Nature Park Directorate.
