Aims of the declaration:
1. Conservation of the habitat of protected and rare types of birds included in Bulgaria's Red List and in the list of endangered species in Europe.

Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited any new construction and changing of the water regime, defined for the existing pumping station, pools and channels in relation to the fish-farming;
2. It is prohibited water pollution in any way
3. It is prohibited plowing of the existing meadows and coastal areas;
4. It is prohibited harassment of birds during the breeding season, breaking the nests, collecting of the eggs and their young
5. It is prohibited hunting of water-floating game
6. It is prohibited grazing of goats and swines
7. It is prohibited arson of the marsh vegetation
8. It is prohibited fishing in the aquatory of the protected site
9. It is permitted industrial fishing after the annual determination of fish stocks and catch quotas beyond the period 1 March to 31 July
10. It is permited fish-breeding activity, wich is not inconsistent with the regimes of the protected site
11. It is permitted traditional use of agricultural land fund, subject to the prohibitions of this order
12. It is permitted mowing of rush and reed in the period September 1 to February 15
13. I is permitted grazing of domestic animals (sheeps and cows)in the marsh meadows
14. It is permited hunting of big game (wild boar and deer)
15. It is permited regullation of number of the predators with proved necessity and after coordination with the MOEW
