Aims of the declaration:
1. Protection of habitat and populations of protected bird and animal species, specifically Egyptian and white-head vulture, white-tailed buzzard, black stork, rock mason, rock thrush, Thracian quail, bat colonies;
2. Protection of exceptional Eastern Rhodope landscape.

Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. I is prohibited any kind of new construction;
2. It is prohibited geoprospecting and querry activities
3. It is prohibited to carry out clear felling in the forest plantations;
4. It is rohibited alpinism/mountainering and hang gliding;
5. It is prohibited using the caves for shelter for domestic animals
6. It is prohibited bivouacing and making of fire outside the designated places;
7. Hunting is prohibited, except in section 669 - b,c, d,e 1,2,3,4,5.
