Aims of the declaration:
1. Conservation of natural wetland remnant of Lake Mandra, the habitat of more than 200 species of waterfowl, of which 5 species are globally threatened - Pygmy cormorant, Dalmatian pelican, Red-breasted Goose (Branta ruficollis), Lesser White-fronted Goose (Anser erythropus) and the Corn Crake (Crex crex);
2. Conservation of protected, rare and vulnerable plant and animal species;

1. It is prohibited hunting;
2. It is prohibited sport and industrial fishing;
3. It is prohibited mowing of cane;
4. It is prohibited arson of the vegetation
5. It is prohibited grazing of domestic animals
