Aims of the declaration:
1. Conservation of habitats, including a large number of rare, endangered and endemic plant species, many of which are protected under the Biodiversity Act: Convolvulus boissieri, Saponaria stranjensis, Aethionema rhodopaeum, Onosma pavlovae, Asplenium cuneifolium, Orhis papilionaceae, Lathraea rhodopaea, Anthemis rumelica.

Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited to change the purpose and the way of permanent use of the land;
2. It is prohibited construction, with the exception of activities related to repair and reconstruction of existing facilities;
3. It is prohibited to search for, research, and extract minerals;
4. It is prohibited afforestation;
5. It is prohibited to import nonresidential species.
