Aims of the declaration:
1. Protecting the habitats of critically endangered, threatened and vulnerable fish species.
Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited extraction of inert materials from the bed of the Danube river and dredging of the river bottom, with the exception of activities to maintain the conductivity of the lateral sleeve, in connection with the management of the water regime with the aim of improving the ecological condition of the adjacent wetlands if necessary;
2. It is prohibited deposition of dredged mass and disruption of natural sediment transport;
3. It is prohibited waste disposal;
4. It is prohibited discharge of untreated wastewater;
5. It is prohibited construction of hydrotechnical facilities;
6. It is prohibited disruption of natural hydromorphological processes and activities that would lead to the redirection and delay of water flows and closing of the side branches of the river in the section - subject of this order.
