Aims of the declaration:
1. Protection of populations of protected and endangered species: brook crayfish (Austropotamobius torrentium), otter (Lutra lutra), yellow-bellied bumblebee (Bombina variegata) ), pearl clam (Unio crassus); Balkan goblet (Romanogobio (Gobio) kesslerii), small goblet (Romanogobio (Gobio) uranoscopus), Balkan gorse (Sabanejewia balcanica), etc. ;

Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited fishing for species subject to conservation in the protected area and catching/collecting crayfish, with the exception of scientific research activities permitted under the relevant legal order;
2. It is prohibited construction of new facilities preventing the migration of fish and other aquatic organisms, with the exception of temporary barrier facilities during construction, repair and maintenance of the technical infrastructure;
3. It is prohibited longitudinal and transverse correction of river courses and their banks (construction of dykes, retaining walls, barrages, weirs and thresholds), upgrading and/or reconstruction of existing transverse facilities and construction of hydropower plants, with the exception of implementation of measures to prevent and limit flood damage carried out in accordance with flood risk management plans;
4. It is prohibited destruction of hydromorphological elements, such as meanders, islands, arms, river banks, with the exception of cases when it is related to protection from the harmful effects of water according to the Water Act and during the maintenance of facilities;
5. It is prohibited new discharges of waste water without purification through treatment facilities and provided that the chemical and ecological condition of the water receiver does not deteriorate;
6. It is prohibited new abstractions from surface water;
7. It is prohibited carrying out felling of natural tree vegetation of local species, with the exception of that which falls within the easement of road bridges, removal of fallen or broken trees in the water course in the event of flooding, which may lead to a risk to the life and health of people or the occurrence of material damage, as well as in the event of natural disasters, accidents and the need for equipment maintenance;
8. It is prohibited importation of non-native and foreign plant and animal species;
9. It is prohibited search, exploration and extraction of underground resources under the Law on Underground Resources;
10. It is prohibited removal of alluvium, river gravel and sand - ballast (aggregate materials), removal of stones and rocks, with the exception of measures to ensure the conductivity of river beds due to accumulated alluvial deposits that create a risk of flooding;
11. It is prohibited movement of motor vehicles and equipment in the riverbed, with the exception of: when performing activities related to preventive protection from floods and other official duties by the responsible institutions; when carrying out scientific studies; during repair and reconstruction of existing facilities; in emergency and disaster situations;
12. It is prohibited washing of motor vehicles and agricultural machinery in watercourses and pollution with waste.
